I wasn't here on thurs., but the websites look amazing! I loved the story of Mildred Lisette Norman! Martin Luther King Jr.'s quotes were also very inspiring, especially "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter". Loved all the effects too :).

All the websites look great! The people I think contributed the most to peace are Martin Luther King Jr., Mahatma Ghandi, Nelson Mandela, and Mother Teresa. Wangari Maathai did a good thing, but we could've used the greening effort and the awareness it raised a lot more today than back in 1977. That being said she still did a lot of good for the people of Kenya. I don't think that Ralph Waldo Emerson did a whole lot for world peace if all he did was give lectures.

All of the web pages were well done! I found that Mother Teresa seemed to have contributed a lot to the peace effort and also was a well written article. I found that the web page about Cesar Chavez was very appealing as I read through it and looked at it.
My parents in general though that the web page on Cesar Chavez was good and agreed with me that the peace contribution by mother teresa was amazing.

I was impressed with the wide range of activities one could do to be a peacemaker. I think I was most inspired by the personalities who worked for the underdogs of society such as Chavez, King and Mother Teresa. Mildred Lisette Norman was certainly unique and it was interesting to get to know her!

I enjoyed the Mondrian layout of Olivia's page on Anne Frank. I think that the coloured rectangles are helpful for focussing the reader's attention. The site was varied with interesting quotes at the beginning and pictures of Anne, her family and where they hid from their persecutors. There are brief captions and a biography, as well as links to further details. We should all remember Anne's thought that each person must share in making the world a better place is important.

Wow!Everyone did a geart job and put a huge effort into their web page. My favourite part was reading the quotes and trying to comprehend the meaning. All of them have a lot to do about peace , which is great.
I 'm so happy we got to learn about the peace leaders of today, beacause with their knowledge we could be the peace leaders of tommorrrow.

I really enjoyed reading the articles, they look great! I loved reading all the quotes as well, some are really inspiring.

My mom liked the one about Mother Teresa and commented that it was amazing to see that some of these people suffered such traumatic losses in their lives and yet went forward to have such positive direction and impact in their accomplishments.

I too, believe that Mahatma Ghandi, Martin Luther King Jr. and Mother Teresa, contributed a lot to the effort to make peace a reality not just hopes and dreams.
Wangari Maathai didn't do a good thing, she did a great thing(in my opinion). If you think of the state of Kenya, 30 years ago, what she did was a big deal and was not taken lightly. But yes, the movement would have been more effective today.

I loved the way that we all used colourful backrounds and layout features!
My mom thought that we all did a very good job! My dad loved the way that we just had to pick the person out of a hat. This was a learning experience for me!
I hope that we do something along the lines of this again because web design is one of my FAVOURITE things to do

I found that the web sites looked very nice, although, unfortunately, my web site began on the wrong page. I also found all of the stories of the peace- promoters very interesting, and I think that I learned a lot.

All these web pages are fantastic. I was planning on showing my dad some of the pages, but he'll have to wait, I guess.

I personally liked the webpage done on Aung San Suu Kyi, and the Dalai Lama pages were very informative, and I found Mildred Lisette, Nelson Mandela, and Martin Luther King Jr. did very much as well to promote peace.

^o^

All the quotes were inspiring. My favourite is from Mahatma Gandhi: "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind." from Harvey's site. Does anybody else have a favourite quote?

I wonder how the peace keepers, who are so well profiled on your websites, would have used the same computer technology to spread their message of peace? Would our world be a better place? I always enjoy finding out new and interesting facts about famous people and your websites were all very informative. Great job everyone!
